Akash and Chrisma’s adventure session in Acadia National Park was one of those days that stays with you long after it ends. Thoughtfully planned, deeply meaningful, and full of excitement, their session highlighted everything that makes Acadia such a special place. From dramatic coastal views to a golden sunset atop Cadillac Mountain, their day felt effortless and intentional from start to finish.

Cadillac Mountain of course was where we’d end the day. Known for offering one of the most breathtaking sunsets on the East Coast, it felt like the perfect way to end their adventure. But the journey getting there was just as memorable.

Starting the Day Along the Rocky Coast at Otter Point

We began the session at Otter Point, one of Acadia’s most iconic coastal locations. With its rugged cliffs and sweeping Atlantic views, it set an incredible tone for the day. Akash and Chrisma wandered along the rocky shoreline as waves crashed below, completely in awe of how endless the ocean felt stretching out in front of them.

I made sure to capture the quiet details that made this session so personal, especially the mehndi on Chrisma’s hands. Mehndi is rich in symbolism, representing joy, beauty, and good luck, and seeing it against the dramatic Maine coastline was incredibly special. Their connection felt natural and unforced, and the coast gave them space to simply be present together.

A Scenic Drive Along Park Loop Road

As we continued through the park, we made an impromptu stop along Park Loop Road. Akash rented a Porsche for the day, and the soft light filtering through the trees made it the perfect moment to highlight it. The sun had just begun breaking through the canopy, creating a warm glow that wrapped around the road and set an incredible mood.

We even stepped off the road and into the wooded area nearby. I asked Akash to shower Chrisma with kisses, which quickly turned into laughter and playful moments that became some of my favorite images from the entire session. You could feel their excitement, not just for the photos, but for experiencing Acadia together for the first time.

A Sunset Finale at Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park

As the day moved on, we made our way up to Cadillac Mountain for sunset. Once we arrived, Akash and Chrisma changed outfits at the summit. One of the best things about Cadillac Mountain is how much space it offers. Even at a popular location, it is easy to find a quiet corner to share an intimate moment.

We found a private spot where they could take everything in before the sun dipped toward the horizon. As we moved toward the west side of the mountain, the wind picked up, creating incredible movement in their photos. The conditions added a cinematic feel that perfectly matched their playful energy.

One of my favorite moments was capturing Akash and Chrisma facing each other as the wind rolled through, laughing and fully immersed in the experience.
